Raul Moncarz (Chair)

Dr. Raul Moncarz is working with several projects involving local, regional and

international programs. His international assignments included visiting Professor

in Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Honduras and Fulbright Scholar in El Salvador. He

has been lecturer and consultant in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala,

Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, Bolivia, Venezuela and the United States. He was

also awarded a Fulbright scholarship in Argentina.

Closer to home, Raul Moncarz has received more than 30 state, national awards

and honors. He was the Vice provost and Chief Operating officer for the Biscayne

Bay campus, Florida International University. In addition he was Dean of the

Banking School at Louisiana State University in Central America; Assistant Vice

President of Academic Affairs, New World Center, and Chairperson of the

Economics Department at Florida International University in Miami. He was the

President of the International Society for the Intercommunication of New Ideas

1999-2001. In 2006 he was President of the International Trade and Finance

Association, a former member of the Advisory Board of the North American Economics and Finance Association,

and former Treasurer of the International Society for Intercommunication of New Ideas. He is a founding

member and Director of the Association of Hispanic

Professors of Business and Economics, and Treasurer of the

Collegium of Cuban Economists. Moncarz is an Editorial

Board Member of Frontiers of Finance and Economics, as well

as a reviewer for a number of journals. Chairperson since

2011, and a member of the Dr.Antonio Jorge Socio Economic

Development Council.

Raul Moncarz has published more than 100 articles in

journals, chapters in books and others.  A more recent lead

article in a recognized book is “Changing Times and

Economic Cycles: President Obama-The Southern Continent,

Mexico and the Caribbean.
