Thomas A. Breslin

Thomas A. Breslin is Professor of Politics and International Relations at Florida

International University, where he has taught since January 1976. He has also

served there variously as Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Vice

Provost, Chair of the Faculty Senate and member of the University’s Board of

Trustees, and Interim Dean of the University Libraries. He also served on the

board of the Center for Health Technologies, a Miami biotech incubator. His

doctorate in Chinese and American diplomatic history is from the University of

Virginia. His most recent authored book is The Great Anglo-Celtic Divide in the

History of American Foreign Relations (Praeger, 2011). In 2016, he co-edited with

Barbra Roller Anatomy of a Dream: The Making of FIU Herbert Wertheim College

of Medicine, 2006-2016 (Florida International University, 2016).
