Roberto Saco (Council Member)

Roberto Saco is a facilitator, instructor, and consultant working with high potential

individuals, middle management, and senior management in various industries. As

the principal of Aporia Advisors, he works in the fields of service design, business

process management, and change management. And he conducts collaborative

workshops in strategic planning, service quality, and product innovation.

Roberto has worked in diverse geographies and cultures, including: the US, Mexico,

Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Brazil, England, France, and China. During his

more than 20 years in a corporate environment, Roberto worked in financial

services in the Americas, mostly with American Express Co. and led many key

initiatives and programs, among these Six Sigma, business transformation, and

strategic planning.

He is currently an Adjunct Professor in Business & Economics at Miami Dade College

(Kendall Campus) teaching a full spectrum of courses from Strategic Planning to Organizational Behavior.

Roberto is also a Visiting Lecturer at the CIED program for international executives at Georgetown University. He

belongs to the Change Leaders global community of change management practice, and is a graduate of the

post-graduate program in change management at the University of Oxford and HEC (Paris). His latest editorial

effort is “New Eyes: the human side of change leadership” (2013).

Roberto has served for many years as a Lead and Senior Examiner for both the Florida Sterling and USA

Baldrige Performance Excellence programs. And has served as judge for the Florida Sterling Award and the

AHCA (American Health Care Association) Gold Quality Award. He is a Past-President of the 80,000 member

American Society for Quality.
